Are you ready to capture your life & create art?
Let's work together.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consult, please send me a message! I look forward to working with you!
What is lifestyle photography?
Lifestyle photography captures the intricacies of every day life - the bonds between families, between humans & animals, the craziness of having small children running around. Specifically, I'm looking to capture the special times you'll miss the most when thinking back in your twilight years.
What should I wear?
This is all dependent on your style of shoot! Dress it up, dress it down, bathing suit, or ball gown! We can discuss outfits during our free consultation. As a general rule of thumb though, it is best to avoid solid/primary white items and loud, bright prints.
How will I recieve my photos?
Your gallery will be available online roughly 2 weeks after our session date. Depending on your option, the album will either be a private, password protected album accessible only by you and those you give the password to; or your album will be a public gallery accessible by anyone you give the address to. Downloads are avialable based on the package you chose. Prints are available for purchase in all albums.
What does my package cost include?
Your session includes our initial consult, the photo session on location for the allotted time, and professionally edited photos in an online gallery containing the number of photos (though usually many more!) included with the package.
Do you have a studio?
At this time, I do not have a studio location but it is something I am working toward. However, in the nearer future, I will be offering seasonal themed mini-sessions on our ranch and other locations around Hedley and Clarendon.
Are you available outside of Hedley, Texas?
YES! I love to travel and will consider just about any location in Texas and even out of it! Travel fees can be discussed during our free consult.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Well, that will depend entirely on your shoot! If your event is rain or shine, then I'll stay right there alongside you until you call it off! If we're doing a lifestyle shoot, we will reschedule and I will apply your deposit to the rescheduled date.
Do you shoot weddings?
Generally speaking, I do not. I feel that there are many great photographers that have vastly more experience with the intricacies a wedding requires. If you are planning a small, simple event, I would be willing to discuss this with you. If your event will be a larger, more elaborate affair, I'm happy to recommend some photographers. If your photographer needs a second, or a backup photographer, I'm happy to work with them as well.
What if my children misbehave?
Oh… let’s count on it! As a mama of 3, I absolutely understand this fear (and the reality of it, too!) But don’t worry—I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve. I encourage you to try to let it roll off your shoulders as much as possible, and just go with the flow. I know how hard it can be to stay calm when you feel pressure to look and act a certain way, so I’ll assure you… there’s no pressure here!
Are there limits on the number of people in the shoot?
If we're shooting a working day at a ranch or an event such as a rodeo or community picnic, no.
If we are shooting a family portrait or livestock portrait, yes. Family portraits are limited to 5 people max. Additional people may join in the shoot for a fee. Livestock portraits are limited to 1-2 individuals as the focus of our shoot will be the animals.
Can our pet join in the shoot?
I fully understand that dogs and other pets can be just as much a part of the family as our spouses or children, that said, adding an animal into the mix takes extra time during the shoot *and* extra editing time. As such, I must request an additional fee for each pet added to a portrait shoot.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. After our initial consultation, if you decide to book with me, I request half down to secure your preferred time/date/location. The remaining balance will be due by the day of the shoot.
